They LS2 is the best option in my opinion!

They generally like water more than any other petrol i've seen
Generally the GQ 5SP has no dramas with crazy power levels.

I'm doing this conversion from tb42e and will be running the 5spd, head & cam package, fast intake manifold & throttle body ...

Some very nice new trucks out for a run good 2 see.
Mark Thomas's truck running strong but Russel Mason is giving it red hot go but managed to lay it over and had to DNF.

A mates TD42 runs a very tricked up GT2871! Scary fast for a Diesel!

There are 3 very quick TB45E Turbo GQ's in Central Qld

2 of them run AUTRONIC computers, tb42 rods both make over 300hp.
The fastest one runs a Microtech and makes 370rwhp. :twisted:

Easy way to find out is to disconnect the AFM, if I disconnect mine it runs better than when it is connected but wont rev above 3000rpm,

Nissan quoted me a new AFM $900 and is exchange!
They can shove that up their arse!

RB30 great power potential! But honestly go with the 4.2D, later turbo it and gas injection conversion (Government CASH Hand out) plenty of balls, great fuel economy compared to RB30 Turbo economy.

Stanard TD42 goes just as hard as a TB42. when pushed tho!
Better bang for buck in the long run ...

I have a 97 GQ LWB being cut and cams caged to compete in AORC and will be running a TB42E TURBO with 4.11s and rebulit 5 spd

The coilover choices are based on the items on Tim Herbst trophy truck!

I got a verbal quote from WIZARD PERFORMANCE for

2 x 2.5" x 14" Coilovers for the front
4 x 2.0 ...

I have searched for the cause and have ordered a new ignition coil.
I don't know what the TRANSITOR actually does so I'm stuffed for ideas.

I have removed all A/C components and in doing so there is only one wire for the switch remaining could this be a problem!
I can't see a link in the ECU wiring ...

I just finished mine made of alloy tube 3" 1.5mtrs tube 1 90deg, 1 45deg
cost me $80 finished.

But I am making a external air box out of 8" alloy tube for a 5" x 6" k&n pod filter!

I have a GQ TB42E and when i finished the AIR FLOW METRE has been moved to suit turbo installation!

If you get a VL turbo your better saving your money and get a decent ball bearing job, STAY AWAY FROM EBAY CHEAPIES mate had bought one for 75 1hz it has failed twice and waiting for the replacement!

Go for something like a GT3070

But another option is getting in contact with brescani ...

I use Loctite copper max sealent with new nuts and spring washers!
retension after 200kms

do it quickly, once applied goo! when all put back together let the motor idle, bring it up to running temp, then shut it down and let it set for awhile!

The longer the better!

It all depends on how much boost!

Exhaust size and tyre size comes into play!

Make sure the ecu is all good and it should be fine!

I get about 25/100 running 33's N/A TB42E

I know of a twin turbo tb42e shorty getting better fuel economy than v6 vt commy!

Mark Thomas, Lynda Ward drove SS2 nightstage and Kent Barrel hit the wall hard, created a fair bit of damage, repaired it only to get a few more stages in tho.

Where were you thinking of to hold the event.
The boys in CQ would be up for this!
Will extra cab patrols be allowed with the mods you have listed.
CQ needs a lot more events.
