not all arb airlockers send oil back up the air line. if they are not set up with enough preload on the carrier bearings they will do it.if the seal housing is not set up correctly they will do it. it all comes down to the installer and their ability to set up the locker correctly.but as i said ...

the locker from your 60 will fit an 80 but you should only swap the air locker hemisphere only,not the entire centre.
that way you will be using the newer gearset and bearings from the 80 instead of the old stuff from the 60.

early live axle lc100 arb bars had a winch cradle that mounts to the chassis and holds the winch,with the feet facing down,and just the roller fairlead mounted to the bar.
the bullbar mounts to this cradle.

front diff centres are the same in 75's and 79's.
they take the same airlocker

arb make and sell the lockers so they would be the cheapest.
just ask for a discount.

front diffs are the same,but possibly a different ratio.
rear diffs are not the same.
79's are 5 stud wheels.
turbo will be a problem as 79's have egr connecting back up to the intake pipe.
bar work will change over.
battery trays are slightly different,but can be modified.

no chance doing it yourself.
i use a 20 ton press to get out the old bushes and they go off with a bang.
a vice won't press them in either.

i don't consider the factory cv as weak.
driver abuse will break any part.
i don't know if the non genuine is stronger or not.
