not all arb airlockers send oil back up the air line. if they are not set up with enough preload on the carrier bearings they will do it.if the seal housing is not set up correctly they will do it. it all comes down to the installer and their ability to set up the locker correctly.but as i said earl...

hi matt, the problem with oil coming up the air line to the solenoids is mostly caused by poor diff breathing. because the air connection inside the diff at the seal housing is under the level of the oil,a diff that doesn't breathe enough through the factory breather will pressurize the diff enough ...

was the saddle correction kit fitted when you first fitted the front springs? if not, this will cause sagging. there are lots of contradictions and things that just don't make sense in your stories. 1.you say the ome suspension lowered the front lhs by 10mm,these springs give a 50mm lift above standa...

the locker from your 60 will fit an 80 but you should only swap the air locker hemisphere only, not the entire centre.
that way you will be using the newer gearset and bearings from the 80 instead of the old stuff from the 60.

you can sometimes buy them cheaper from other stores, because arb sells to tjm and other 4x4 shops for dealer price, which is lower than retail. what tjm or a 4x4 shop sells them for is up to them. if they want to cut their margins down and only make $50 a diff then good luck to them. if you have your...

front diffs are the same, but possibly a different ratio.
rear diffs are not the same.
79's are 5 stud wheels.
turbo will be a problem as 79's have egr connecting back up to the intake pipe.
bar work will change over.
battery trays are slightly different, but can be modified.
