Had a 4runner for 6 months when I bought it torsions were wound up all the way never broke a CV, you only break them if you can't choose a decent line and don't rev the cars tits off with the tyre in the air.

Get recaro's for 3k all made to bolt in!
I have some supra seats in mine, they're real comfortable and hold you in.
I don't know too many people that would spend 3 grand on seats, you can easily do it yourself for a few hundred, I've seen bucket seats from skylines/wrx go pretty cheap on ebay ...

:?
I don't think anyone has ever done it...
One thing to know about leaf, it's not comfortable it will not be comfortable and you better find a good chiropractor if you do lots of corrugations.

Not to use a gear driven but to use a chain driven you can use the surf auto extension housing with a couple of mods to the 1uz auto which is what I'm putting in my hilux, to use a gear driven transfer there is no way but using an adaptor behind either the surf auto extension housing or buying the ...

Re: Cv joints
Only come in the front, CV joints or technical term Constant Velocity joints are used in driveline systems which need to allow for suspension and steering movement. Therefore no rear axle will have CV joints unless of course you have 4 wheel steer. Your hilux would be a solid axle front, the cvs and ...

Re: 200 series live axle
What kind of 4wding do you do that requires you to have live axle? Do you just want live axles for the sake of having more flex? If you bought a Toyota Hilux 05 onwards and put lockers front and rear and a lift with some decent muddies you'll go pretty much anywhere.

It's what a lot of the guys do when they want to upgrade the 2l-te in the surfs. They chuck in the 5l-e because it has the right sensor.
You're lucky you've got the 5l-e as if you had the 5l you wouldn't have the crank angle sensor I believe is what it's called. It's more the wiring that would be a ...

Just get a a guage from a 2.4 petrol hilux and hook it up to one of the igniter modules. By the way I did the original conversion on your hilux and the guage in yours is the 2.8 diesel which wont work without a converter. Easy just to swap the guage

Guess ease and practicality it's good but If you want the cheaper option and really it isn't to hard modding the 1uz box for the extension housing take about 30 minutes and you'll save yourself a good couple of hundred bucks. Plus if you want to go manual down the track with the gear driven transfer ...
