I have four GQ PTO's

I spent a lot of time and money last year building a PTO set up for my GQ. I built an operated freespool for it with an extended drum and ran it in last years Vic Winch. I had not run the winch prior to the comp. At the time I used an Air drill attached to the side of a freewheeling hub to engage ...

I have swaped diesel / Petrol engines both ways and have found with wiring that it is easiest to source a complete loom from the wreckers. D/P are different st,pov pak the same. Look for one with the least amount of owner mods

GU FRONT

The tappers are different, you will just flog things out if you mix them up. The steering arm for GU is longer. GU steer box and diff is best combo. It may worth looking into a late model GQ brake booster as the GU has larger brakes.

4.8 GAS

I have heard some horror stories about the 4.8's being a bugger on Gas. I had mine converted by LPG1 using the GAS VAPOUR INJECTION. No hassles and running costs down from $28 per 100km to $10 per 100km. I believ that eventually I will need to get the valves done but not for 100,000km I won't own it ...

Attempting to drive a PTO winch from a toothed drive belt off a modified crank pully. Looking for some sort of clutch set up that can be engaged at 700rpm. A. Aircompressor electric clutch would be ideal. Not strong enough. B. Clutch assmebly out of a motorbike. I think this would wear as it is ...

A couple of things to think about. You will not be able to compress your bump stops fully testing in the shed. If you lower the shocks tower and on full suspenion compression go past the piont where the shocks bottem out you will destroy them in multiple ways... I would start by measuring the stroke ...

Fits but risky

!5 inch rims will work on GU. On the front you are left with only a 5mm clearance on the calipers. Will be fine as long as you don't pick up a smal rock or slightly bend the rim. Most steel rims aren't round either. Also reduced cooling for brakes.
