It is easy just move it inside use 2 long nuts to space it from firewall rearrange rear mounting and run cable through floor. The handle being a little closer never bothered me.

At the back of the transfer case there is a 5 pin plug and socket for the shift motor. There is a row of three pins and a row of 2 pins in this socket. The 2 pins in the row of 2 control the motor. Connect + and - to these pins and the motor will run depending on the polarity you attach to it. The ...

I fitted a V6 4runner tank to my hilux. Fitted ok except for the filler being in the wrong place and the filler hose was a bit bent up as a result. Try to get one from a fuel injected Hilux.

I put a tacho on mine a few years back. I took a signal directly from under one of the coils on the coil pack. You will need a 2 cylinder tacho to read this signal. A tacho to read a 2 cylinder signal is a BIT DIFFICULT to find . So I bought a tacho which was switchable between 4 6 & 8 cylinders ...

The pinions have to be a smaller diameter to provide the correct ratio . If you want a bigger diameter pinion you will need a bigger diff. I run the power of a 190kw v8 through my 5.28s and they do not break. Here is a picture of a 4.875 hilux crownwheel with 39 teeth http://www.users.tpg.com.au ...

You will find that the individual teeth on the crownwheel are bigger than the ones on a 4.875 crownwheel there being less of them on the 5.28 crownwheel . 37 on the 5.28 and 39 on the 4.875 crownwheel. The teeth on the 5.28 pinion are therefore larger and stronger than those on the 4.875 pinion.
