Re: 100 series 1HZ into a HZJ75

Thanks Zoltan :)

Was it difficult to remove the immobiliser?
I have never seen one in the flesh and don't have a clue. :-P

100 series 1HZ into a HZJ75

Gday I have a HZJ75 with a cooked engine and am looking at sourcing a replacement. I have access to a 1HZ out of a 100 series and am wondering what differences there are between the 75 and 100 series. After some research I have seen that I may need to swap over the sumps and the spigot bearing. Can ...

75 series Crruiser Windscreen Rust

Guys, I have a 1992 75 series cruiser ute with fairly bad rust at the bottom of the windscreen. Has anyone had it fixed and do you have a ballpark figure for the repair? Also, I have been told that you can buy fibreglass repair sections for this area. Any idea where I could get these from? Cheers ...

I just bought an 5" screen ebay one which arrived yesterday. It came with 2 different street nav programs and runs WinCE 5 unlocked. I just copied my oziexplorer CE (the core runtime version off the ozi web site) onto the flash. Renamed the ozi directory and exe to that of the second nav program I ...

Your both right, they were used in the KZN130 & KZN185 Surf's as well as the early Playdo's (KZN185 chassis and running gear with different body). AFAIK no aussie sold hilux had a 1KZ-TE from factory only 5L-E (3 litre, ECU controled fuel pump, no turbo). Sorry Dougster, Aussie delivered Hiluxes ...

If you are on the Sunshine Coast, don't forget to have a look at Trailblaza fridges. They are made in Caloundra and in my opinion are realy good.
They are just about unbreakable.

Your gauge must be dodgy or your tank has a massive dent.

I think the smallest tank in the hiluxes is 66l

Hi PP,

Any reason why the night navruns have been moved to Easter?

The easy navrun last year realy suited the feel of the family fun day last year. The kids had a ball driving round the park at night.

Re: some one solve this for me.......... buggy question

second question, if you were to use a 350, 2 speedglide and GQ transfer and make the motor run backward would you need to flip the diffs? NICK In theory maybe.. but in practise its almost impossible. The engine would need custom oil pump, water pump, camshaft and distributor. Its a simple ...

Has there been a change to these lockers to help fix the o-ring problems ...

Help! Hilux Turbo light

I'm in a bit of a bind. The missus was driving our 2002 Hilux (with the 1KZTE TD motor) today and three times the turbo light came on and the endine stopped. She coasted to the side of the road and restarted it a minuite later each time with no problems. All the fluids are OK and the electrical ...

Didn't it take off at the end!
I thought for a while there, nobody was realy interested in it and it would go cheap.

I just hope the winner uses it and just let it go to waste.

Airlocker Advice

A couple of questions for the diff gods :-) I'm looking at a 2nd hand locker taken out the front of a 85 Hilux. The guy that is selling it reckons that it is a RD02. All of my research tells me that this is wrong and that it must be either a RD01 or a RD23. the RD01 is a 8" diff and a RD02 is a 8.9 ...

Hilux Turbo Diesel Overheating 1KZ-TE

2002 3L TD Dual cab 1KZ-TE While driving home today from camping(lightly loaded with aproxx 600Kg Camper), the temp gauge was basicly going up and down like a yo-yo. As soon as I hit any hills of any reasonabe length, the engine temp crept from 1/2 way on the gauge to the red line. It seems that as ...
