idles at 1200 constant when hot so i have backed of the idle while hot will see how it behaves when cold tomorrow

okay all who are in the know i have myself a series 1 tdi300 i have put a seal kit through the injector pump cos it was leaking from the governor housing seal now it has a bad hunt at idle of about 400 revs sits at around 600 revs and then jumped up to 1000 if you put it in gear it will drop back to ...

what shocks do ineed for a 4 inch lift in a 60

what shocks do ineed for a 4 inch lift in a 60 as mine wont flex cos the rears are to short i am at 3 inches of lift now and i have extended shackles coming and i only have stock shocks .
so i will need longer ones so if anybody knows what fits it would be great

well i dont know alot but the only skid mark my 60 has ever made is in my pants . it has the poorest brakes of any car i have owned i have rebuilt the calipers ,fitted a dual diaphragm booster new flexible lines all new pads n shoes (cheap ones) wore out the front pads in 12 months bought better ...

that depends on how much damage how many rods are closed and honed i would recomend do them all and have it all ballance while your there with fresh bottom end you would be mad not to do rings n timing chain and check condition of lifters and cam .

well i am a fan of the efi 5liter ford ,
but it all comes down to cost usually you can run either windsor or clevland on the same bellhousing. pull the 351 down and have a look then make a decision

i agree on lpg mine is so costly to run on petrol .
i run twin tanks so i have 130 liters underneath and a long range tank the holds 50 or so liters so best of both worlds lpg dosnt flood on hills ect like some of the carby 4wd ive had .

my favourite is good old fish oil smell dosnt last long and it seems to work well the roof is still in excellent condition on my 82 fj62

yeah i have been testing as best i can the manual says one relay and there is 2 there not even sure its rear wiper yet doing my head in
and i started with nothing working in the tail gate so far the washer works and demister lock motor tries but i am getting there.

hi guys i know this a late reply but i have done a full 1988 sahara swap into a 1983 fj60 i swapped everything full wiring loom dash all 3 rows of seats and the fridge center console plus the headlights n front ,electric windows ........ now for the front end you realy need from the doors forward ...

yeah you get a strange look when you over take uphill loaded to the hilt and for of road she is so torqy down low its brilliant i have mine all engineered so now just fine tuning to be done

AWD makes a front lokka engage all to often but has no different affect on a rear having said that the rear may engage when you dont want it to regardless of it being all wheel drive or part time it will require a different driving style to prevent it engaging because they will engage if you ...

v8's in a 60 are a good thing i run mine on 33 seems like a good size to drop the revs i do alot of towing so going bigger would be impractical . i am running a efi windsor and the left head is rather close to the firewall i had to massage it a bit but was limited by the A/C duct work inside made my ...

ah well all sorted i rang the engineer and was told that anything under a 45% ncrease for this beast does not require a colapseable column which is different to what he told me before but i am not going to argue

minimum engineering requirements to fit a v8 in a anything for nsw is collapsible column 2 speed wipers and a front demister

hi guys n gals i have a 40 series ute and need to put a colapsable steering colum in it to satisfy the engineer can anybody tell me what they used in thier 40 series when they did an engine conversion .
