Its just a spare and was not used for any thing unless like the guys above you have a turbo fitted then that becomes the turbo feed line, thats why they fit turbo's so quick to the 2.8 no need to drill and holes or tap any thing. regards Steve M

This will also depend on wether your lux has ifs or solid axle front end if you have solid front end you will need to change the sump over as you wont have the clearance if you have ifs front end.In other words if yours is already ifs no problem if solid you will need to take the sump off the old 2 ...

dont know if your fully insured or not but if your with the racv they will not insure it with 8's on it as they will be too wide, even 3rd party insurance against hitting some one else could be a problem if it arises (hope it doesnt) as far as you putting them on then some thing happens eg run up ...

this is a genuine diesal power parts rebuild kit.
it contains.
pistons/rings/conrod and main bearings.
cam bearings/gudgeon bushes/thrust ...

The other option is to whack in a 5L plenty of them around. You need to change over the sump pan and exhaust manifold, get the pre 2000 model as they have mechanical pump like the 3L the later model (5LE I think is the code) they have the electronic pump. I would not be paying 5K to rebuild a 3L ...

Oh and the motor is an 89 model,
