godzilla is just the term used for an RB26/30 (RB not shitty VL mototrs, just a full built 3 litre block with the 2.6 heads) that is producing 600PS at the wheels... people have taken that and now call every fargin skyline gtr a godzilla... Godzilla actually was a reference to the Gibson Motorsport ...

I have them. Yes it is illegal. My insurance company knows and doesnt seem to care, although they havent had to pay out on a big accident. 33"s the cops dont seem to blink at. 3"'s they do, but it depends on condition of car, driving behaviour etc. To be perfectly legal you need to keep your tyres ...

An icv needs to be more than just a Patrol with a bit of suspension lift... but when you're talking about completely redesigning the front and rear suspension for competition work (5 link front for instance), dropping a 350 chev and auto in it, low range aftermarket tcase gears, potentially using ...

Front locker is available, and rear LSD. If you need more than LSD+LOCKER you have the wrong car anyway. Ok, I went out 4wding with Chimpboy a bit when he had the MU. His unlocked, no LSD, on 32" muddies didnt go everywhere, but it went pretty much where unlockered vehicles can go. Sure my vitara ...

In a vitara box and tcase, 4H and 2H use the same bits in the gearbox, except for the bits that 4H and 4L share. So, testing 4H is kind of pointless - just test 2H and 4L. Testing 4L should be done one a loose surface with hubs locked. Potentially you can do really REALLY low speed 4L in a straight ...

Ok, i know how to replace a window regulator if thats the part that is broken. I thought it was actually a plastic cog that breaks in them for some unknown reason. Dunno where I got that idea from. Suffice to say, easy job to fix, just a bit of stuffing around. Guess it's worth pulling the switches ...

2" spring and chop rear quarters. Space forward front diff. If you intend to keep 33"s, shave diff housings for a little extra clearance? Snake or similar front bushes for extra flex even if they flog out quickly. Considering the size of the diff pumpkins and the central rear diff... clearance is ...

It sounds like it's pretty clear you've made your decision and the 4runner has to go. In that case, good luck hunting for your new truck. If you get the right GQ it will have a factory rear difflock like my Maverick did. If you get the wrong one you should still have a very very capable LSD. For a ...

What about just locking the front of the 4Runner? Have you done that yet? In the end flex isnt what gets you through things, it's traction. And a locked IFS front will still drive through stuff with one wheel in the air quite happily that Solid Axle stuff will fail to acheive without a locker anyway ...

Petrol tb42 should get somewhere around 16l/100km on the highway and 20-25l/100km city cycle (depending on traffic and driving style). Thats about the figures I used to get, and I wasnt exactly driving for economy. I'm getting 480km out of my LPG tank (but only using about 85l gas out of my 92 litre ...

You can buy aftermarket swaybar disconnects or extended swaybar links... both will improve your onroad travel without compromising offroad too much. As I have REALLY soft springs I'll probably go back to having both on - with a disconnect on each end. Currently I'm only running disconnects at the ...
