I have just put a gu ute cab on my gq and used the gearbox from my gq. I had to trim a small section of the tunnel in front of the gear stick, also put a 20mm body lift in, which i didn't really want to do. The gear stick is foward a bit, its good because i have a bench seat... more room so thay do ...

460 kms from 110 l tank down the freeway and 200 kms when my right foot gets really heavy. That with 35's, 6 inch lift and 230rwkw.... its not to bad i rekon

Hey, this is a very common thing mine was leaning out a 160rwkw and had to install twin lines and converters. The T peice needs to be wound into the tank, then one line comming out each way. Make sure you are using the big fittings which i cant remember the size but its the ones that need a 21mm ...

I had the same problem, just put a rag on the end of the axle and used vice grips to pull the axle out just that bit further, i think i had grease between that brass washer thing and the cv and had to pull real hard to squeeze it out

ring pgs 4wd they use a petronix to trigger a ICE system and they can re-graph your dizzy they do these things all the time. They did mine it works great and its all very compact and simple

i have a straight gas turbo tb42 in a gq wagon with 4.1's and 35's, 200rwkw on 15psi. I just got back from a trip to Mt Buler where i got 440km's from 100l of gas and the roads are pretty hilly, i was pretty happy with that... when u give it to it around town or up bush they do tend to drink it prob ...

auto locker and side slope = front end of car slipping down the slope, need to be able to turn it off IMO. can get in all sorts a trouble if you cant have control of which direction it goes. go air locker, ARB, bomb proof, winch, and must have UHF, ther 3k right there

my 35 radial claws are for street only both times i have gone off road with them i blew the side wall, with 20 psi too. They were pretty much new as well... would not recomend them but maybe it was bad luck

hey mate, i used my standard hilux pump on mine just changed the mounting postion and job was done. pump works fine, easier to modify the bracket than all the plumbing.

hey mate, i just bought one paid 20 k for it , late 99 model st 170,00km, with 35's. very clean and straight. Looked at a 99 dx that sold for 19. depends what you call cheap. they are definately coming down in price, people are still asking 15- 20 for late model GQ's.

any conversion place should have the adaptor washer that fits in the holden fly wheel, uses the standard hilux spigot bearing, just tap the spacer in to the flywheel and then fit the standard bearing, easy job.
