could it just be that it is an open centre, makes sence, my hilux/4runner rear drivers side is the drive wheel, which would make the passengers front the opposing drive wheel. Id try holding the passengers front somehow and seeing if the other turns. Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about diffs ...

I had the exact same problem, the reverse lights do run off the same fuse. underneath the gearstick there is a smallish loom, of which i had a wire rubbed through to bare wires, everytime the wire touched the body, bang, the fuse went. i have an 87 4runner so its likely to be the same, the left hand of the trangluar braces between the front crossmember and chassis rails has a hook mounted using those 2 bolts. its right up the front so its pretty easy to find. sorry im not that fluent with the right terms i hope ive explained it ...

We used a set of bearing pullers on mine. It took a bit of patience (sp) but got there in the end. Tapped the end of the pullers lightly with a hammer and just going a bit at a time letting it do its thing slowly but surely.

quarter windows, some people call them quarter lights, im not sure if youll have them, they are on the older cars. youll know if youve got them. Its like having 2 windows but one flips around on a piviot point and the other one is a normal one

as far as im aware if youve got quarters youre set for putting a 6x9 in there if you want to. the width of the quarter down the height of the door is empty-youve just got the actual depth of the door to worry about.

yes the microswitch is on the left as u look from behind sometimes u can press on it and its enough to trip the microswitch. Just the other week mine decided not to play nice and stopped altogether i figured oh its dark ill look at it tomorrow. Jumped in to go to work and nothing wrong with it ...
