could it just be that it is an open centre, makes sence, my hilux/4runner rear drivers side is the drive wheel, which would make the passengers front the opposing drive wheel. Id try holding the passengers front somehow and seeing if the other turns. Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about diffs ...

I had the exact same problem, the reverse lights do run off the same fuse. underneath the gearstick there is a smallish loom, of which i had a wire rubbed through to bare wires, everytime the wire touched the body, bang, the fuse went. It took me 2 weeks of searching, cursing and hoping to find it ...

4runner front diff
I have a 1987 IFS 4runner. In relation to the short side of the diff (drivers side) the CV goes straight into the side of the diff. Now I can pick up the diff side of the CV and move it a good 10mm up and back down again in the diff housing. If I hold it up it will leak oil. Im trying to gather ...

The tacho stopped working in my 4runner a while ago, the connector on the circut board on the back of the instrument panel had a broken contact, I just put a bullet on the wire and followed the board around to somewhere that I could put a o-ring underneath a screw. It would have been better if i had ...
