Gday guys,
I have a 12Ht in a 60 series.
I was curious if anyone has heard of them hunting heavily on startup?
My mate has 1 and it does the exact same thing.
Cheers guys

Gday fellas, just curious whether or not these 2 boxes are the same. Or atleast whether the transfer cases will interchange. The Box in my hj61 is fine, but the transfer wont select low 4. So i was thinking about either swapping complete box and transfers, Or just swapping the transfers. The ...

gday fellas,
just curious whether anyone has swapped out a vacuum transfer for a mechanical transfer ? I've heard that the only differance is the idler shaft being bigger in the vacuum? Cheers fellas, Ash

Re: Worn trunion bearings?
I don't see how loosening the kingpin bearings would make it any easier to get the CV out. It's not like they make the opening any bigger... Maybe the CV is a cheap after market one made a tiny bit smaller to cut costs? You have to take the king pins out. The bearings are recessed into the top of ...

In the GU tech bible, go down to GU ZD30 Problems. They list in there that 2001 and earlier had all the problems, Cracking no.1 Piston. When everyone mentions that they got there engine replaced under warranty that nissan put a 2003 model long motor in. So i would presume i would aim to buy a GU ...

Re: 1hdt 80 series exhaust question
Definetly isnt an issue running it there. With the exhaust tape/wrap, it actually absorbs moisture as it cools down and rusts out your exhaust. Plus it will retain water when you do water crossings and mud runs. Its good stuff, but just not ideal for the 4x4 world. If your really concerned, maybe ...

Re: ANYONE WITH A HILUX 5L TURBO SET UP????HELP PLEASE
at the moment. you have both vacuum and boost working against each other. creating an initial boost spike, this would eventually equal out. But still you dont want boost spikes on an originally N/A engine.

You will definatley struggle to fit an engine fan, my 304 is nearly touching the firewall and i struggled for clearance between pulley and radiator, before moving the radiator to the tray. Is this a Gen 1 problem only, I easily fitted an engine fan with 20mm clearence to the radiator in a Gen 2 ...

Re: injected 5Lt into diesel Hilux, have lots of questions
also you will struggle to run a belt driven fan as the front of the w/pump will only just clear the radiator let alone with a fan bolted to the front of it. Run a 16" davies craig thermo fan with an electric thermo fan controller on the back of that 75 series radiator
