Why a snorkel on a Feroza
CAUSE: I made a provisionally snorkel - using a flex-pipe - for a trip last summer (I posted a video some time ago) to prevent my engine from water...
It did not work -> meaning, that the engine is not running well when driving into water which is deeper than 60-70cm ...

I had the same problem.
I'm for sure that in my case it was my faut (driving to fast...)
I also bought a diff from a wrecker which works well since 3 month.
Last week I broke my front axle joint (the outside one on the right side). Seems that the front axle and diff is a pain in the ass on ...

What was happening at the end when it looked like there were three 4WD's tied together following each other on the twisty road?? Was it icy or something?
We crossed a pass (300m up to 1100m) with a lot of serpentines... No breaks, no engine, no heating in/on the Cherokee. But of course we also ...

Hi,
just to let you know that I made my first "longer" trip last weekend.
It was about 950km in 3 days and I had no problems with my feroza ;-)
We were 3 cars - all with family. a range rover, a jeep cherokee and my feroza.
i wrote a short story at www.uahhh.org - but of course this is in ...

Hi,
My f70 (foutrack) 2.8d has no power to the front wheels, the prop is engaged but no drive. It isnt making nasty noises and i have been advised that i need to fit new manual locking hubs?
Good Idea!
Also, are they easy to fit? its has free wheeling ones at the mo.
It's just a swap (6 ...

had a lot of work during the weekend.
the frame of the feroza is a bit tricky because the pipes of the frame a not parallel... there are no 90° angles which makes the custom winch mount laboriously

I've both.
I perfer to drive with the Zook where no other cars can go (extrem axle articulation and lockright in the rear).
I do'nt go with the Suzuki further then 20km from home - otherwise I will need a doctor.
Therefore I use the Feroza...
Before the Feroza I had a Pajero. The offroad ...

If the diff is a clutch type LSD there are friction plates connecting the gears on the axle shafts to the diff carrier. The clutch plates on the driven axle (the one you are turning) will turn the diff carrier (and the pinion gear) which will drive the clutch plates on the opposite axle and cause ...

hm.. I'm confused now.
cause I was looking into the service manual pdf's and found pictures of the LSD. Question: Why should the wheels rotate the same direction? There are also 4 pinion gears in the LSD-diff.... so the LSD-diff must act the same way a open diff does. It's the same...exept the ...

Best way 2 find out if u have an LSD is lift the rear wheels off the ground. Then turn one of the wheels and if the other wheel turns in the same direction then u have an LSD. If they turn in the opposite direction then it's an open diff.
...and if the other side is not turning it will be a ...

Does any one on the site have an LSD? MikeH had one thats all that I know of. I wonder if the people who do have them even realise it..
Good question! Thats the point.
I don't know if i have a LSD! My wheels are spinning like a open diff, but i heard that most of the Ferozas in Europe where ...

Hi,
I'm guessing Haasa has tweaked the hold-back spring?
YES.
I drove to our offroad area (in Austria it is forbidden to drive in the woods, meadow, ...) today to test the offroad-abilities of my Feroza - but that's a different story. They trip to the area (~12km) gave me some time to check ...

Hi all,
I found out, that the speedometer with large tires (31x10.5) is very wrong - of course It shows about 10%++ less then the actual speed (measured with GPS). I hat the same problem with my Suzuki with larger tires.
Today I fixed the problem same way I did it with the Suzuki:
It's a job ...
