Why a snorkel on a Feroza CAUSE: I made a provisionally snorkel - using a flex-pipe - for a trip last summer (I posted a video some time ago) to prevent my engine from water... It did not work -> meaning, that the engine is not running well when driving into water which is deeper than 60-70cm ...

I had the same problem. I'm for sure that in my case it was my faut (driving to fast...) I also bought a diff from a wrecker which works well since 3 month. Last week I broke my front axle joint (the outside one on the right side). Seems that the front axle and diff is a pain in the ass on Ferozas ...

I used longer shocks from a Cherokee to get a better flex.
Because of this i modified the upper shock-attachments (form pipe from the left to the right). Need some pics?

What was happening at the end when it looked like there were three 4WD's tied together following each other on the twisty road?? Was it icy or something? had a lot of work during the weekend. the frame of the feroza is a bit tricky because the pipes of the frame a not parallel... there are no 90° angles which makes the custom winch mount laboriously http://www.uahhh.org/technik/haasa/winch_feroza/images/34.jpg more pics: m Haasa

If the diff is a clutch type LSD there are friction plates connecting the gears on the axle shafts to the diff carrier. The clutch plates on the driven axle (the one you are turning) will turn the diff carrier (and the pinion gear) which will drive the clutch plates on the opposite axle and cause ...

hm.. I'm confused now. cause I was looking into the service manual pdf's and found pictures of the LSD. Question: Why should the wheels rotate the same direction? There are also 4 pinion gears in the LSD-diff.... so the LSD-diff must act the same way a open diff does. It's the same...exept the ...

Best way 2 find out if u have an LSD is lift the rear wheels off the ground. Then turn one of the wheels and if the other wheel turns in the same direction then u have an LSD. If they turn in the opposite direction then it's an open diff. ...and if the other side is not turning it will be a broken ...
