Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey everybody,
ive done a bit of a search but found no info.
I have a 05 GU with the zd30 auto. Driving along and it felt like it dropped out of gear for a second and then went back in and then nasty noises and then it stalled.
Tried to restart and it sounded like the starter motor was spinning but ...

When you change out your crown wheel pinion set make sure you convert it to a solid spacer on your pinion insted of the colapsible spacer.
Will make a world of differenece to the life of the gear set .
Exspecially if you drive it hard

IMO put the auto lokka in the rear and save up your $$ for an air lokka for the front.
#1 Alot better control when your off road and much better on your CVs and axels.
#2 Toyota LSD in the rear is not worth a pinch of shit.
a few decent one wheel spins and it is burnt out.

sounds like your wastegate is cracking open before its spose to.
Check your linkage and actuator

Im looking at upgrading the turbo on my hdj80 soon to a garret gt2860 or something around size, wat my problem is fitting a t25 turbo flange on the garret onto the factory ct26 exhaust manifold.
Ive searched around an all i can find is an adapter plate that i can get from the states.

thats because of the centre diff.
it will only drive to the wheels of least load.
lock the centre diff in and it drive both ends regarldless of load.

keep the all shims in the same place they came from and you wont have to adjust them.

Im in the process of front mount intercooling my 80 series. Ive decided to go front mount cause of the cost factor and i not sure wat im doin with the car. (Ie keeping it as a tourer or chopping it up as a toy)

If you didnt have the problem before you had the injectors done up there is a good chance your injector pump is stuffed too.
rebuilding your injectors normally increases the crack off pressure of the injector there for your pump (which is probably worn a bit if your injectors were) wont produce ...

Yes a mate bought a set for his 80 series a couple of years ago. Not 100% where he got them from but ? Got them on the net for only $90 a piece

the thermostat should have the temp rating stamped on the bottom of it.

http://www.lcool.org tech section has a nice write up for factory turbo pump mods, if it has a good exhaust, add intercooler, follow the tech sheet, add 3/4 turn to main fuel, if its in std spot, and you should be more than happy.

If its a 1 HZZZzzzzzzzzzz, bolt on turbo is best bang for buck.
