Hey guys,

I'm looking at bobbing my hilux in the next few months.

Just after some motivational pics of other hiluxes out there that have been bobbed.

I've used the search but it seems that the images have been taken off the server.

I'm finding that my current set-up already has heaps of bump steer. I've put on a new steering knuckle, ball joints and bushes. I'm running 33's, with the afformentioned 2" body lift and 2" springs. I think my steering dampner is shot. Does the steering dampner make that much of a difference ...

Those look good! I take it those are the shackles for the front ?

You wouldn't happen to have a drawing of these would you ?

I need to get some drawings if I want a boilermaker at work to give me hand.

Hi diesel028,

Can you tell me why the dropped drag link isn't any good ?

Is it because of poor handling ?

Hi Stumpy, I'm after 2" extended. Not too sure what rear springs I have, but they look like they are a 2" lift. Looking to make up some for the rear springs ? Is it possible to make up some for the front springs as well ? What would you recommend ? I have a 2" bodylift, I think 2" lifted springs ...

extended shackles - hilux

Hey,

I'm currently in the process of getting some extended shakles made up at work.

I am looking a 2 inch extended shackles for a LN106 Hilux (1990).

Does anyone have any drawings of extended shackles ? With dimensions as well ? I am going to get a boilermaker at work to make some up.

I have no idea how many true kms the motor has done, but I have resisted turning up the boost incase it blows. Cheers ...

Have you checked to see whether the ball joint between the steering knuckle and the drag link is ok ?

On my LN106 the ball joint was distorted out of shape and this was the reason the drag link was hitting the u bolts...

Check yours ? Is there much free play in your steering ?

My car is at the workshop so I can't go out and measure it myself.
