oil pressure guage???

can anyone tell me how the oil pressure guage works on the efi gq? i dunno if the senders stuffed, but some days it sits close to 1/2 and others on 1/4. this is doing 60 in 4th gear. where is the needle supposed to be? and how do you tell if there is a problem?

Thanks

Gday everyone i am wanting to convert my patrol (4.2 EFI dual fuel) to straight gas, so i rang a local gas place and was told it cant be done because the engine needs to start and warm up on petrol before switching to gas. But i could have sworn i've read about dedicated gas patrols before. Can ...

driving to work this morning at 6.00, I noticed the engine warmed up quicker than normal, and then kept getting hotter! so i went home and got the missus car and went to work. checking it out this arvo, the radiator reservoir is empty, and the radiator shows no water in the filler neck. I filled it ...

I've heard alot of good reviews about them, but remember they are just a monoform tyre which basically means its a glorified retread. They would be perfect for a second set of tyres for offroading tho.

I got my entire 2.5" Straight through system with Extractors for $600 at Carline Mufflers. They did the extractors, 2.5" system (only 1 bend in it to go over the axel) and muffler. I have had 4 GQ's now and have fitted extractors and exhausts to all of them. All have had a 2 1/2 inch pipe. Breath and perform sweet. Just got quotes for my new one, started at $630 up to $900. For complete system with extractors. $630 sounds good I think. thats bloody cheap!! what place is that??

Re: GQ Exhaust upgrade

What were their reasons? they said the 2 1/2" was too free flowing and needed to be stemmed by a bigger muffler. Also the quote that i got for the mandrel bent system was cheaper than the press bent system quotes by $400 ( from Liverpool exhausts). and current cheapest. I think its cheaper cos they ...

Hi everyone!! I need a new exhaust due to numerous holes in the stock one, and have been quoted $850 for hurricane extractors and a 2 1/2" mandrel bent system fitted. (uses current cat converter). i think they are about $2500, however that may have changed due to petrol prices lately. it is definately cheaper. I have dual fuel and for about $70 petrol i get 300 - 350kms and the same on $40 of gas. you use more gas, but its still cheaper...even tho gas has gone up about 15 cents in the last ...

dunno. depends how long the rubber bend is as to whether it meets up with the inlet hose to the air box. looks too far up the guard tho.
