Yesterday i was out in the troopy when i tryed to get up a 60 degree incline
and the old girl stalled right on the top just as i was going over. so i slowly rolled back till i was at the bottom (where i then got bogged) anywhoo the motor starts to stall again so i give it a boot on the exelorator ...

Im looking at replacing the pathetic alternator on my 2H diesel, it never seems to charge the battery properly even though i put new brushes in and all. Has anyone had this problem? and what kind of alternator should i change it to? will it have to have the oil feed lines or can i block them off ...

I have a 2H diesel and the oil after 5000ks is going all gluggy and black.
Is there anyway i can get all the old black crap out and put new oil in without it automatically contaminating the new oil. Also ive been using castrol rx super 20/w/50, been a good oil, but i wouldnt mind changing to a new ...

Oh yeah the planks through the wheel well sounds the go, And i would use the splitter too to prevent any damage

Know anyone with a winch, and a block and tackle pluss some lifting straps too. i wouldnt go through the hassle of removing the dash though. Anything but that!

Could someone put up some pics showing the castor plates and the drop boxes please. Also a brief explanation as to how both of them work would be cool too.

What sort of dollars am i looking at for a set, and what sort of change
in power would i be getting? Would a new filter need to be fitted? if so whats the best filter to use?

Get a set of standerd wheels from the wrecker or someone you know who will lend you a set, get the safety cert and once youve regoed it put the bigger wheels back on

Do you have trouble getting spares in denmark digmann? just replace them with new mounts same as the ones you have taken off, thats what i would do. If you cant get them i will have a look around for you. pm me if you need help.

Its actualy is a good thing to do if you havent been offroading for ages,
gets the oil splashing around and coating everything in oil.

PTO all the way, it will go all day long. A thomas 8000 pound PTO pulled my troopy up a near vertical creak bank!! Also being able to spool in the cable in 3rd or 4th means your off and wheeling a LOT quicker.

Took the cover of the widscreen wiper motor (hj47) and noticed that theres an adjuster on the bottom left hand side of the wiper motor unit.
