I wasn't real keen on the idea to start with but I eventually mounted it under the drivers seat. There are plenty of rubber bungs under there to run the hose out. I was also looking at mounting it where you are describing but it was going to be a bit tight and fiddily with the bracket

I don't know what the big deal is 13L/100 is pretty good for a 2Tonne+ car with a large engine and turbo. I've had 4cyl turbo cars that have used more than that.

If it gets better after 20,000klms or so then all the better , can't wait. If it gets to 10L/100, you f*%ken beauty

Thats what I thought, the only down fall to the cole hursee is that it just seperates the two batteries when the ignition is off and then links them when it is on. If you have a flat starting battery you won't know until the accessory battery goes flat as well, then your buggered. ARB had some turbo ...

Dual batteries and turbo timer

Couple of questions. I am installing a dual batery set up my GUIV 4.2TDi. As it has very limited electronic components is it entirely necessary to use a smart solenoid or the like? or can I get away with just a normal isolating solenoid (cole hursee). I went to ARB today and their battery trays are ...

I'm going to fit a 3" exhaust to my 4.2 TD (intercooled) and was going to go for one muffler. How loud are they with no mufflers, do they drone a bit on the freeway? or will it be too quite with one muffler, I still want to be able to hear it but don't want it to be annoying. I was getting a ...

I sold my 91 T/D not long ago for about 17K with 228 on the clock it had some goodies on it but only alloy bar and no rear bar. Sounds like a pretty good price. You will be impressed by the power (once you get it moving) and the low range off road down hills is awesome. I used to get nearly 1000klms ...
